Yeashin Nur

Yeashin Nur is a second year medical student. He is born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He competed his bachelors degree at CUNY Brooklyn college, and then practiced as an EMT throughout the borough of NYC for about two years. He then took a masters year here at NYMC and began his journey as a med student in 2024. He is extremely excited to be a part of CHR events and advocacy team this year. Coming from a community and family consisting of primarily immigrants and his experience as a NYC EMT, he has seen the daily struggles immigrants face to acquire basic rights. He is excited to work with the entire team this year to accomplish great things and help many people.
