Case Manager

Mina is a current NYMC medical student from sunny Orange County, California. She studied biology and psychology at the University of California, Irvine. She comes from a family of Afghan immigrants and grew up learning about their journey to this country along with its many challenges. She has several years of experience as a volunteer for the national Crisis Text Line, where she practices communication, empathy, and connects texters with local resources. Her background and desire to help those who seek refuge in this country, just as her parents did, led her to join NYMC CHR. In her free time, Mina enjoys baking, traveling, and weightlifting.
