I am currently a second year medical student at NYMC and work on the physician recruitment team for CHR. As a first generation American, I have always been passionate about immigrant and refugee health and wellness. After graduating from Northeastern University, I took a volunteer position at the Boston Center for Health and Human Rights, which further opened my eyes to the the unique challenges faced by asylum seekers and refugees and the difficulty of navigating the process of seeking asylum. By working with NYMC CHR I hope to provide support and aid to ease the process in some way for those undergoing seeking asylum.
